The
Workforce Center can provide you with information on career training and
job skills training available in
the local area or in the State of Florida. Individuals who need to train
for a career or to upgrade their job skills may qualify for Workforce
Scholarships through the

Workforce Scholarships
Workforce
Scholarships are based on individual eligibility and subject to funding
availability. Under this program, the training must be provided by
an approved training vendor
and be on our region’s targeted occupation list. For more
information or to see if you qualify contact the
Workforce Training Center at Gulf Coast
State College campus at
850-872-3853 or the Workforce Training Center at Haney Technical Center
at 850-767-5500.
Get your GED
The letters "GED" stand for General
Educational Development. The GED is the equivalent of a high school
diploma for people who did not finish high school. In order to get your GED, you have to
prepare for and pass an exam. You may also want to determine how
taking the
GED can help you get into college or find out other
reasons why you need a
GED. Locally, you can get help with obtaining
your GED through
Haney Technical Center and the
Passport Program at Gulf Coast
State College.
Distance Learning
Some people may find it more
convenient to take classes online. The State of Florida has several
resources for you to participate in online distance education courses.

Florida Virtual School and the
